Pastor Robbie Davis is on a mission to help people win in life. He is a Bible teacher, visionary leader, strategic team builder, and Church developer who is motivating thousands to embrace victory today through life's eternal champion, Jesus Christ. Robbie is the Lead Pastor of CELEBRATION CHURCH at Columbia and Founding Director of Celebration UNITED (CU)-A Church Development Network. He is a devoted husband to his wife Robin. Robbie and Robin were married in 1989 and have seven children-Rhema, Rhesa, Robert III, Rhoyal, Robinson, Rheign, and Rhisen.
On January 1, 2004, after serving for 15 years as the Senior Assistant Pastor at the Church led by his dad and mentor, Bishop Robert S. Davis, Sr., Robbie began his tenure as the Lead Pastor of Long Reach Church of God (now CELEBRATION CHURCH at Columbia). Under Pastor Robbie's leadership the Church has grown to over 2,500 members and continues to offer life lifting ministries in the Church and to the surrounding communities.
Robbie graduated from Hammond High School (Columbia, MD) in 1985. Though he was scheduled to begin his college career at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, a swift turn of events landed him on the campus of Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. That move proved to mark the course of his life. It was during this time that Robbie recognized a call on his life for vocational ministry, began to preach regularly, and became covenant friends with other teenage preachers who were convinced that there is no greater joy than to give your life away in service to the Lord. In 1989 he graduated from Mid-America Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Specialized Ministry. Robbie was licensed as a gospel preacher in 1990 and was ordained into the Christian ministry in 1993. He would go on to complete a Masters degree at Azusa Pacific University (Azusa, CA) in 1995.
After graduating from college, Robbie married his High School Sweetheart, Robin, and joined his father's pastoral staff back home in Columbia, Maryland at Long Reach Church of God. His ministry assignment was youth and evangelism. He was the catalyst behind the establishment of a local ministry in Columbia called Youth Explosion. Youth Explosion attracted hundreds of middle and high school students to Tuesday and Friday night services. The ministry also hosted regular youth conferences designed to challenge youth and equip youth leaders for effective ministry. During this time Robbie traveled extensively as a much sought after youth revivalist, youth ministry trainer, and conference preacher. He also served the national Church as a Vice President of the National Inspirational Youth Convention (NIYC), a national agency that serves thousands of young people annually.
In 2009, Pastor Robbie founded Celebration UNITED (CU)-A Church Development Network. Celebration UNITED (CU) exists to assist Churches help the people they serve win in life. By providing fathering, coaching, mentoring, and multiplication opportunities, CU is setting out to produce vibrant local Churches in strategic communities around the country. CELEBRATION CHURCH at Monroe Street (Baltimore), an inner city ministry revitalization partnership, was launched in January 2009 and is the first Church to be established under the CU banner, along with CELEBRATION CHURCH at Columbia. Robbie and Robin are currently preparing to begin mid-week worship and ministry training sessions in Anderson, Indiana, with the goal of launching CELEBRATION CHURCH at Anderson in 2010. CC at Anderson will be the third addition to the CU family of Churches.
In addition to his pastoral leadership and the apostolic initiatives through Celebration UNITED (CU), Robbie serves on the Board of Trustees at his almamater, Mid-America Christian University and as a non-staff Elder for the Madison Park Church in Anderson, Indiana.
From his earlier days as a teenage preacher through his current ministry endeavors, Robbie's zeal for helping people win in life on the foundation of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ shines brighter with each passing year. Pastor Robbie's visionary leadership, solid Bible teaching, and commitment to team ministry are all working together to help thousands of people make an eternal connection with Christ and fully develop as human beings on this side of heaven.
