CCA Boy/Girl Scouts
The purpose of Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, goal-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. For younger members, the Scout method is part of the program to inculcate typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoors skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking.

The Girl Scouts mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Using three keys to leadership, the girls Discover their special skills and talents, Connect with others, and Take Action to learn about their community.
The troop year ends with a Bridging & Banquet event in June where troops share their accomplishments with family and community members. Something for every girl: Daisy (K & 1st grade); Brownie (1st & 2nd grade); Junior (4th & 5th grade); Cadette (6th-8th grade).
Girl Scout troops currently meet every Wednesday evening, September through June (meeting times vary, please contact the Troop Leader).
