OUR STORY
Since 1973, helping people win in life
Celebration Church began in 1973 as Long Reach Church of God, founded by Bishop Robert Stanley Davis, Sr. What started as one congregation in Columbia grew into a church family known for teaching the Word and equipping people to take their next step toward Christian maturity.
In 2003 his son, Bishop Robbie Davis, became pastor. Under his and Pastor Robin’s leadership the church took the name Celebration Church at Columbia and grew in membership, ministries and reach.
In November 2025 the baton passed to a third generation of the family. Today Pastor Matt and Lady Rhesa Quainoo lead one church on two campuses, in Columbia and Baltimore, with the same mission we started with.
Covering Bishop and Covering Pastor
Bishop Robbie and Pastor Robin Davis
Bishop Robert S. Davis, Jr. became pastor in 2003, following his father, who founded the church in 1973. Under his leadership the church took the name Celebration Church at Columbia and grew in membership, ministries and reach.
After 40 years of preaching and serving this church, he and Pastor Robin passed the baton in November 2025. They now serve as Covering Bishop and Covering Pastor.
